Welcome to the Laney Counseling Department

The Counseling Office is located on the 3rd floor of the Laney Tower

 

Counseling services are available to all students and prospective students of Laney College.  All counselors assist students with exploring career, educational and personal goals which include the development of student educational plans to meet these goals.  Counselors work with students regarding university transfer, vocational programs, basic skills development, personal / professional enrichment and personal concerns.  We value the diversity of our student body and the worth and dignity of each individual.

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 8a.m.-4:30p.m.
Tuesdays 8a.m.-7p.m.
Fridays 8:00a.m.-12:00p.m.

For all Financial Aid Appeal process, a pre-scheduled 30 mins counseling appointment is required. Pls visit the Counselor office or call (510)464-3152 or 3153 for an appointment. Currently the Counseling Department is not accepting online appointment. Thank you.

GETTING STARTED

All new students must take COUN 200A: Orientation to College (.5) (except if you have an A.A./A.S degree or higher).
