Janelle Tillotson

JellieWeb2. I have been enthusiastically serving the Laney College community since 2011. I hold an Associate of Arts degree in Individual Studies from Foothill College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a minor in Chicana & Chicano Studies from UCLA, and a Master of Science in College Student Personnel and School (K-12) Counseling from San Francisco State University. I am passionate about informing students of the ways in which community college can be an institution of transformation and economic mobility in their lives. I have counseled and taught Counseling 224 in the Gateway to College and Puente Programs at Laney College and I also serve as the advisor to the Laney Black Student Union, a student club.

I invite you to explore the challenging and rewarding path to your future by scheduling an appointment in your Laney Counseling Department in the Tower Building, Room 301, by calling 510.464.3152. We are here to create Student Education Plans (SEPs) and provide information that will help you clarify and fulfill your goals.
