Orientation and Assessment

**For more information, go to the Welcome Center in room A-101 at Laney College or call 464-3259

Step 1: Make appointment for an orientation to the ESL program and placement test.

The orientation is one hour and the test is one hour, so expect to stay 2-1/2 hours

Step 2: After the test, make an appointment to see a counselor for class placement.

The counselor will help you look at your test scores and choose classes

ON TESTING/ORIENTATION DAYS

  • Arrive 15 minutes early.
  • Bring Identification with you.
  • All electronic devices must be off during the test.
  • No visitors or children
  • No food or drinks
