Solar Photovoltaics Design, Sales & Installation
Laney College is offering The Solar Photovoltaic Design, Sales & Installation program to prepare students for enriching careers in the growing solar photovoltaic sector. Graduates will receive a Certificate of Achievement if approved by the state. The certificate has been approved locally and is in the process of review for state approval. Students will learn to design solar PV systems, estimate the costs and savings for the client, formulate and deliver a sales pitch on the benefits of an investment in solar, and install PV systems. Students will be prepared to take the NABCEP Entry-Level test upon completion.
Upon completion of this course of study, students will be prepared for career opportunities in:
- Solar installation
- Solar sales and estimation
- Solar design and engineering
- Solar manufacturing
- Solar entrepreneurship

This 17-week course will be held from August 20th to December 14th , 2012, Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm. - Courses (18 units total):

BOG Fee Waiver and FAFSA advising - Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
10th grade proficiency in mathematics, reading, and writing
Demonstrated work experience
Fluency in English language
