Mehserle Sentencing

November 5th, 2010. 11 comments (comments are closed)

Today, sentencing is scheduled in the Johannes Mehserle case. This is the matter involving the fatal shooting of Mr. Oscar Grant by the former BART Officer Johannes Mehserle. Our District and College leadership along with the Peralta Police are working in concert with the Oakland Police to ensure the continued safety of all members of our community. Given the nature of the organized events, we expect calm and peaceful assemblies throughout the day. (See below for details of scheduled activities.)

As always, thank you for your dedication to your work and continued professionalism. In the meantime, if you notice anything of concern, immediately notify your supervisor e.g., dean, vice president. Certainly, in the all instances of criminal activity, contact the Peralta Police at (510) 466 – 7236.

Always respectfully,

Elñora T. Webb, Ph.D
