The discipline of Psychology is concerned with the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. The Psychology Department at Laney College offers a rich variety of courses including Introduction to General Psychology, Social Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Psychology of Childhood, Abnormal Psychology, and Human Sexuality. Through these courses, students acquire a solid foundation of knowledge about human behavior and the manifold influences of environmental, biological, social and cultural factors.
