The Laney College Welcome Center supports key elements of the matriculation process, including:

Registration, Enrollment,  Assessment, and Student photo ID.  Student Ambassadors provide individual assistance for completing applications, navigating the Passport student administration system, scheduling appointments for the English, Math, and ESL Assessment, and referring students to other services and programs on campus. Twenty-five computers are available for completing enrollment-related tasks. The Lost & Found Office is also located in the Welcome Center.

• Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Update and print Student Aid Report (SAR)
• Peralta Admissions Application (CCCapply)
• Concurrent Enrollment Application
• Board of Governors Fee Waiver Application

 

Enrollment Activities Using the Passport Student Administration System

• Enroll in classes
• Drop classes
• Print Class Schedule
• Get a student photo ID
• Print unofficial transcript
• View Account Balance and Hold Status

 

 Financial Aid Workshops

Every Wednesday and Friday from 2:00pm – 4:00pm in Building F, Room 170 (Tech Center)

Staff from the Financial Aid office are available to help students with loan questions, FAFSA and Student Aid Reports, Fee Waiver, Petitions and other financial aid questions. Call to confirm.

• What to bring:

2010 taxes and W-2′s (if dependent student, bring your parents taxes too)

Verification of any untaxed income such as SSI, CalWorks, TANF, Food Stamps, G.A

Court Documents that you know you will need

Anything else you may think is relevant.

 

Non-English Language Support

We provide support for the above tasks in the following languages:

English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Cambodian, Hindi and Urdu.
